But what about for County manager Derek Adams?He turned the way his team had been written off ahead of the the Celtic game into a drive to succeed."It just shows that people should not talk before the game," he said.

  Dundee United are one of the top sides in the SPL and will be tough opponents.The only time County have beaten them before, Derek Adams was playing and he scored both goals.He's ready now to take the game to them and to try to prove the pundits wrong again."We've performed well in the Scottish Cup and scored a lot of goals," he said."We did very well against the likes of Hibs as well and carried that on to the Celtic game."We passed the ball very well and created a number of opportunities, and we're looking to do the same on Saturday."One or two eyebrows were raised when County president Roy MacGregor said he wanted to get 20,000 people from the Highlands behind the team for the final.It seemed a tall order but as the big day approaches fans have snapped up more than 17,000 tickets.So the Staggies are facing the biggest game in their history and they have a lot to live up to. A training session in Spain was cancelled by the drifting ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano.But the pre-match preparations are otherwise still on track and assistant manager Craig Brewster has said the players have to believe they are good enough to become heroes.This coming Saturday, a second Highland invasion is set to hit Hampden, another Highland clearance if you will.

Pubs have been given a special late licence in anticipation.The club even has a Cup Final anthem - The Proclaimers We're On Our Way - recorded with fans at a nightclub in Inverness and released through iTunes.Staggies supporters are travelling from as far and wide as Canada, Hong Kong and Australia, hoping to become part of a little bit of footballing history.The team has come a long way since stepping up to senior football from the Highland League in 1994.Now, they too are on their way back to the national stadium at Hampden for a game which could seal the club's greatest victory and could even send them into Europe
