Two countries with glory-filled football histories will face each other this coming Wednesday evening when Germany play Argentina in an international friendly. Both of these teams see this encounter at the Futball Arena Munchen as preparation for the World Cup in South Africa. 
Germany won eight of their ten qualifying group matches to finish on top of the group. Their last game was against Russia and they managed to win that game 1-0. This friendly match will allow manager Joachim Low to conduct a bit more appraisal of his team; who better to do this against than a world class team like Argentina.
Argentina finished fourth in the CONMEBOL qualification tournament to win their place in South Africa. This tournament involved playing eighteen matches with other South American teams. Brazil managed to finish on top of the group. Their last game was against Jamaica and Argentina were able to win that one 2-1.
